James Taylor Dad Loves His Work Pop Music CD Review

Dad Loves His Work is the latest version of pop artists James Taylor, and is another winner from this talented musician.

Unfortunately, it is not every day that I have a CD from an artist, I can hear easily and comfortably in pop, from the beginning to get to the end. There is usually one or two songs that I just can not force myself to get through. Absolutely not the case with Dad Loves His Work. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from beginning to end.

JamesTaylor may have the property, you win with him talent alone. The kind of artist I really enjoy listening to.

If you even mildly into Pop music you will enjoy this album. Overall, Dad Loves His Work is an excellent release. I give it my double thumbs up. You will not be disappointed with a single title.

While this entire album is really very good the songs are really outstanding track 3 - hour, the Morning Comes, length 5 - Believe It or Not,Length and 7 - just for me.

My Bonus Pick, and those who Sore [... how, in 'Stuck On Repeat "] is track 6 - Stand and fight. This is a great track!

What Is Soca Music?

This material is known primarily for people who are new to this genre of music designed to soca. As an artist, soca song was in the last eight years, exposure, and who has won Caribbean wide soca competitions, I will humbly attempt to present a comprehensive introduction to soca music.

Soca music originated in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. It has been widely recognized to be created by Lord Shorty (born Garfield Blackman). He notedThe calypso music was the most popular reggae music and extinction, and tries a new hybrid that was more appealing to the masses to create. He fused Indian music with calypso music and the energy in a more hybrid Solka, called later known as the Soca conducted. Lord Shorty introduced soca to the world in 1973 with his hit, Indrani.

Naturally, soca music of the seventies is very different from what exists today. Today,There are two types, namely Power Soca and Groovy Soca. What is the main difference between the two?

Power soca music is very fast, with tempos of around 160 beats per minute. The music is largely educational in nature. Soca artists thrive on motivating audiences to respond to their dancing instructions. Power soca music is largely music to jump, wave and "wine". ( "Wine" from the word "wind is derived, and is a kind of dance, from the hipMovements). Crowd reaction is key.

Trinidad and Tobago Soca artist was credited with the launch of Super Blue "jump and wave" craze. His success with this type of soca was so incredible that since then most soca songs are with a lot written answer in mind.

Today, the challenge for power soca songwriters is, songs that move the audience, but writing is not a regurgitation of the jump and wave theme. This is not the easiest of tasks due to the nature of the festival that socaMusic is centered around. Soca music is largely carnival music. Since Carnival is all about jumping and waving, the music that drives them to be able to produce such activities. More and more artists to write songs in the following, not necessarily based on "jump and wave" or waving rags and flags. In an attempt to have stay free of monotony, themes like love, peace and coexistence are very common.

Groovy soca music is probably a betterMeans for driving soca music forward internationally. It is much slower, around 115 beats per minute. This newer kind of soca allows a wider range of topics that are addressed to. Unlike the total frenzy, the power produced soca, groovy soca is music to rock to dance and slowly. Artists like Kevin Lyttle and Rupee have demonstrated that this kind of music is very palatable to mainstream music markets, with international hits like "Turn Me On" and "Tempted ToTouch replaced. Another artist of international recognition with groovy / crossover soca is, is Barbados-based artist, Alison Hinds.

I think that should be fast and groovy soca music continued cooperation. I gladly accept all variations of soca and put none against the other. Music is dynamic. Throughout history no genre has always remained the same, and hybrids are constantly created.

In addition to power and groovy soca, other types of Soca Musicinclude ragga soca and chutney soca.

Ragga soca is a fusion of dancehall and soca music. Ragga soca performers include Trinidians, Bunji Garlin and Maximus Dan.

Chutney soca is a blend of East Indian chutney and soca music. Chutney soca is an up-tempo, rhythmic type of song, accompanied by traditional Indian musical instruments like Dholak, tassa, the harmonium and the dhantal.

The line between different kinds of soca music is becoming less and less clearly defined. It can sometimes be very difficult and controversial to pin-point what groovy, power, or ragga soca. There is so much fusion taking place that it is often difficult to tell whether a song is really a soca song. For example, some have argued that Alison Hinds' hit "Roll It Gal" influence is not really a soca song but an R & B song with a West Indian. While I can not hold this view, is to show that it no clear distinctions and definitions. Soca> Music, like other forms of music is an art and can not be confined to a specific or exclusive form.

Soca music is largely competitive. Every year artists try to outdo each other at carnival competitions such as Soca Monarch and Road March. At a Soca Monarch competition artists perform before a large audience and are judged by a jury. A road march song is the song that is played during a carnival street parade. Each Caribbean island holds its ownCompetitions. The prices can amount to hundreds of thousands of dollars for each winner, especially in Trinidad and Tobago.

Some of the biggest soca artists in the industry have bowed out of competition. These include big names such as Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin and KMC. The popular notion is that "Music is a mission, no competition." Personally, I have found these competitions for a very negative force, so that undesirable friction between artists. As an artist, I havehad my own battles. However, gaining so much fun that it can be difficult to quit, too. Fans will be able to pressure an artist to compete against their will inexorably. The way how these competitions are set up, it's easy to remain unnoticed, if not to be, unless if you are already strongly established in the market.

Popular soca performers include Machel Montano, Destra, Alison Hinds, Atlantik, KMC, Shurwayne Winchester, Denise Belfon, Bomani, Bunji Garlin, Iwer George, Bomani, KevinLyttle, Tizzy, Maximus Dan, Mr Killa, Mantius, Fireman Hooper, Jamesy P, Tallpree, Claudette Peters, Burning Flames, Nicole David, Ricky T, Qpid and Krosfyah.

Some of the world's largest SOCA hits like "Turn Me On" by Kevin Lyttle, "Tempted to Touch" by Rupee, "Who Let The Dogs Out" by Baha Men (originally sang by Anselm Douglas), "Sweet Soca Music" by Sugar Daddy, "Nookie" by Jamesy P, "Hot Hot Hot" by Buster Poindexter (originally sang by Arrow) and "Follow theLeader "by Soca Boys (originally sang by Nigel and Marvin Lewis).

Instrumentation

Brass instruments like trumpets and trombones were very typical of soca music. Sometimes, the saxophone is part of the horn sections. While these instruments still in live performances, synthesizers and samplers are used, they are increasingly taking the place, especially in the studio recordings and at smaller concerts. Soca is very percussion and drum driven, and these are often very loudin a soca mix. The bass is also very important. Other instruments are guitars and keyboards.

Leading soca-producing Caribbean islands including Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Grenada, Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda.

Sugar - Why Is It So Addictive?

Fighting cravings for sweets

So I've always wondered why I crave sugar so much especially after I take a meal. I do not have one days leave without finding something with sugar in it to satisfy my need. Some days I can get a little carried away.

Why is this so?

Sweet cravings are a number of reasons. To overcome this addiction, it is important to understand why they occur.

Part of your cravings exist due to the habit. You mustfulfills this need in the past after a meal with something sweet. Then suddenly it becomes a part of your thinking. After every meal has to come dessert. The good news is that all habits are learned, so that this habit cam be forgotten as a result of practice and repetition.

Your desire will continue to exist, if you eat simple, refined carbohydrates or high sugar foods. The day, cut the sweets of the day, you take control and curb cravings. Cravings exist because we feedenable them and allow them to exist. Yes, it's an addiction, but we have to choose.

Take a look at what is happening in your body when you do make that decision. My hope is that you think twice before they will be in.

Eating simple carbohydrates causes a rise in blood sugar in these foods are quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. This in turn gives you a temporary sugar high - it feels good .... But our bodies do not like this imbalance and a number ofhormonal responses take place.

Your body produces an increased amount of the Insulin - a storage hormone. In order to facilitate this rush of insulin, glucagon - a release hormone - is diminished.

What does this hormone game mean to you? Each time you consume simple sugars and refined carbohydrates, you are doing nothing more than locking in fat.

Even worse? This cycle will continue for once your blood sugar levels hit bottom. You will Crash due to the excess insulin. Your body responds once again at this point for your energy level bottomed out, you're having trouble thinking clearly, and you end up with cravings. It will inevitably crave sweets as these foods are the fastest blood glucose levels increase, you get your break-in.

Blood sugar high / low cycle is repeated - again and again and again ...

Think of a roller coaster. This is what happens in the body every time you eat sweets.

The only way to stop the craving .....to get off the ride.

Strategies to eradicate your Sweet Tooth

1. Clean the kitchen.

Keeping sweets in the house actually sabotaging your chances of being successful. Replace the junk with supportive options. For example, fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, string cheese, and rich in fiber crackers, etc.

2. Keep a food log.

Are they all eat 3 to 4 hours? Skipping meals causes your blood sugar to drop. Make sure each meal and snack contains theright mix of protein, fat and carbohydrates. Sometimes an addiction is caused by a lack of protein and / or fats in your meals and snacks. Simply eating an apple is not enough. Pairing the Apple cut with a handful of nuts or some cheese cubes cubes.

3. Abwarten.

Did you know that a craving lasts about 15 minutes - then it goes away. Make a list of things you can do to distract you for 15 minutes. If a need hits .... grave a bottle of water and get to that activity - you even can make aTimers. Once you hit 15 minutes ... Her desire is gone, and you have the power!

4. Are you stressed?
Some desires are for stress. Practice in other ways, to cope with stress - a walk, spiritual connections, a cozy fireplace, hot baths, ... to stimulate all of this, neurotransmitters that activate regions of the brain, the joy of eating something sweet as an incentive.

5. Break Old Habits.

One way to take control and a change is to keep a diary - you enjoylarge glass of water or a cup of hot tea - but not the way you write down what you crave ... Why you crave it .... the desire to provide a name and talk to .... find out what it is .... want to say why they are not accepted at this time .... I know that sounds corny - but can help you find some insight and control over such thoughts and beliefs - then you have the power to change it.

By simply "doing" something different after dinner, you can overcome this habit. Brushing teeth after eating, chewing on aChewing gum, drink some hot tea that has a naturally sweet taste (this is my life saver .... a licorice based tea is a wonderfully sweet flavor).

Remove yourself from the area where you normally have your sweet treat or dessert. If you usually eat while watching TV - turn on the TV channel and you are playing with a good book, with the children, listening to music, write in your journal ....

They are as much a few small lifestyle be surprisedHabits give you the control you need to overcome a lot and the nagging desire.
